jeff4760
To watch Netflix I need the stupid Silverlight plugin, and at first the install was saying I had a PPC and it wouldnt continue. I found a way to delete the install check, but when trying to watch a video it said "Unable to play protected content (DRM) Close your browser then try again." In system Profiler it says Mac for the name and SomeModel for the model Identifier. Is this the problem? And if so, how would I fix it? Or does something else hinder me from playing DRM on this OSX86 machine. Thanks advance to anyone who can help me resolve this. Oh, and the Error code is 8151, in case anyone out there knows a bit of Silverlight stuff.

thecodecowboy
did anyone get to the bottom of this? I believe the issue also affects the iplayer and may have something to do with applesmbios and the machine and not having 'real' mac values in the 'about this mac' hardware section. Qjimbo
Have you tried using OSX86 tools to mess with the "About this Mac" info?
kellis
Not sure, but here on 10.6.4 it works very well. (netflix, silverlight etc). maybe your smbios.plist? or the boot one? not sure...
Cerastez
Are you using Silverlight 4? The previous versions will not work on a hackintosh. You can download it here. If that doesn't work you can try manually installing the attached files.
