iloveisrael
Hello everyone, I've downloaded the Kalyway 10.5.2 ISO, burned it on to a DVD, but it doesn't let me get to the installation screen. I get only this far: Loading Darwin/x86 Loading kernel mach_kernel Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 422d690. Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 422d690. LoadDrivers: Loading from [/system/Library/Extensions.mkext] Loading HFS+ file: [/system/Library/Estensions.mkext] from 422d690. Loading HFS+ file: [/system/Library/Estensions.mkext] from 422d690. EFI enhanced bootloader build: ToH Using SMBIOS table found at 0x0f0430 Using ACPI RSDP revision 0 found at 0x000feba0 After that, my computer shuts down, and restarts into the DVD again. My computer specs are: Dell Dimension 4600 Intel ® Pentium® 4 CPU 2.66 GHz 2.66 GHz, 2.50 GB RAM SSE2 Processor Windows XP Home Edition SP3 Can anyone explain why this is happening? Thanks in advance, iloveisrael. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/142623-kalyway-1052-difficulties-fairly-easy/ Share on other sites
Geo877
Im no expert but all i can see that could be wrong from the info so far is your dvd could be corrupt, try re burning, else maybe re downloading, sorry it's a little tedious if it gets to re downloading. Hope you get it working! Downloaded and installed mine today (Kalyway 10.5.2) It is brilliant!!! Definitely buying a license for leopard. iloveisrael
I burned it twice: the first time x8 (and it didn't work), and then I decided to burn it the slowest possible speed, x2.4, and it still didn't work. May I ask you where you downloaded yours? Also, I already have the genuine leopard disc. I was wondering if I could patch it and make it work with my pc or if I have to download a Kalyway or an iDeneb from the internet. Thanks, iloveisrael. Geo877
I've read somewhere it's possible to patch it without too much difficulty but i wouldn't advise it, google Kalyway_Leopard_10.5.2_DVD_Intel_Amd (first link). 3.5gb or so, downloaded in just over an hour - there's hundreds of seeds Good luck!
