Electric
Hey guys - I've had a bit of a read around but can't seem to find what I'm looking for - I had a working 10.4.3 system on my 200 IDE drive, but I had to sell my IDE drive because IDE is for girls So... I busted out Acronis True Image and cloned my drive to the 200 SATA I had lying around - and now OSX doesn't boot. Whenever I try to boot in verbose mode (-v) I get the standard loading text and then a blue screen as if OSX was about to boot but then it just hangs. Any ideas would be appreciated guys - thanks for the help! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14250-1043-nforce-sata-no-boot/ Share on other sites
XellDusk
What's your chipset. If it's nForce, chances are you're in the same boat as alot of us. nForce SATA isn't fully supported, only PATA. Electric
Yep its nForce - so what does that mean? have to wait for someone to prepatch a newer version (10.4.5/10.4.6) so the DVD will run from our SATA drives ? theSpam
Well, there isn't a proper SATA driver for nForce chipsets. I believe the one out right now corrupts data...
