Shaun13
Ok, I am kinda new to OSX86, but I just had a successful install of Kalyway 10.5.2. I am on it right now actually. It is almost fully working, but I hope you can help me solve these last 2 things. 1)Wireless. I need to get this to work. I am on a laptop with a Broadcom 802.11 b/g card. I checked the Broadcom Wireless option at install, but nothing shows up. I dont know how to find the exact model number. 2) The screen resolution is a little off. It is at 1024x768, but my screen resolution should be 1024x800. I tried "Graphics Mode"="1024x800x32" at startup, nothing. Please help me fix these last 2 things, and I would be glad to throw a $10 PayPal donation to you or something. Thanks, -Shaun Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/142455-almost-fully-working/ Share on other sites
UnaClocker
You don't have functional video drivers. What video does your laptop have? If you don't know, tell us what laptop it is, and someone will look it up. UnaClocker
That's not supported by OSX. You'll never get the video working properly. There are no drivers for it, no real Mac ever had that video chipset. If it's a laptop, your SOL.. Sell it and do more research before you buy the next one. Shaun13
Well, I guess I can deal with the graphics card, but I REALLY need the wireless working. Could you help me out please? I have tried everything. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/142455-almost-fully-working/#findComment-1010607 Share on other sites
UnaClocker
Install OSX86Tools (google for the download) and it'll give you the vendor and device ID. You'll need to edit the Broadcom Kexts to add them (probably just the device ID). This is how you add the device ID you come up with: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=23684 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/142455-almost-fully-working/#findComment-1010610 Share on other sites
