I really hope someone can help me troubleshoot this issue...

Okay, so I got Leopard installed using Kalway 10.5.2. Everything seems to be working fine. I got use Final Cut Studio and can edit video. I can browse the web with Firefox. I can watch videos with Quicktime. Etc. Etc. Etc.

The thing is, I want to edit some video off non-copyrighted DVDs that I have. And, towards that end, I would like to use MPEG Streamclip to extract and encode the footage in DV format for import into Final Cut. The thing is, every time I try to export, I get kernal panic at some point during the process. It happens regardless of whether I'm coming straight from the DVD or whether I've copied the DVD to the hard drive first. And, it happens regardless of the output setting. I've tried both AVI and Qt containers using a variety of codecs/settings/whatever. It still happens at some point. The only way I can get it go successfully export the clip is to force Darwin to go into safe mode.

Here are some setup details for my rig...

Motherboard: Asus P5K Pro

Processor: 2.5 GHz Dual Core

Memory: 4 gb Corsair DDR2

Sound Card: Sound Blaster Live Platinum II (using kxproject drivers)

Video Card: nVidia 7600 GT (using NVkush drivers)

If any more details are needed, please let me know. I really hope someone can help me with this. Booting into safe mode just to capture video is a {censored} annoyance.

Thanks!
