Shadow
Ok so I used the osx86-fully-patched-sse2-rosetta-ati image to install on my newest computer. Specs of hardware are as follows... Pentium D 805 - 2.66ghz, 533mhz FSB, 1mb L2 PC 4200 DDR2 1GB Samsung Stick 350 Watt Power supply - soon to change anyway ECS RC410L Mobo ATI X200 Chipset ATI X300 Onboard Video Realtec ALC'97 Onboard Audio Dual Layer/Lightscribe DVD Burner combo drive 400gb Hitachi (mac lol) sata 150 hard drive - windows xp 40gb Seagate 7200rpm ATA100 IDE hard drive - osx86 Anywayz install took awhile, but finished. Booted not lightning fast but booted in a somewhat reasonable time. Then did the rest of teh setup that it goes through then got to the desktop. First off quicktime and itunes are expired gofigure but no big deal. Went to the system preferences and theres not output audio device. Also i know the wireless lan card i have (linksys wmp54gs) doesnt work on osx, im wondering if thier is any way to fix the audio and wireless. Also how can i get itunes and quicktime working. Last but not least is the iso was sse2 patched, yet all Pentium D's including mine have sse3. During the install there didnt seem to be a way to uncheck that. Are there any files i can delete to get my sse3 to be used so it will be at least a little bit better performace wise? Im also looking to install Final Cut Pro and am wondering does it need to be the new universal binary one or does the regular final cut pro work. Thanks and im gonna get an ATI PCI-E card eventually anyway so that should stop some of my video lag i get ounce in awhile.
