I think you'll need one that matches the other nVidia video kexts on your system for it to work.

 

Why is it missing, did you delete it? It's easy to get back - there's a program called Pacifist (google it) that you can use to extract .kext files from installation packages, or straight from the OSX installation disc.

 

Are you using gfx strings or an injector to get video working?

I recommend NVDarwin if you need an injector. You can find it in the video card drivers subforum.

Sorry, I have 0 experience with Geforce Go cards. You can try manually inserting your hardware ID in the Geforce, NVResman and NV40 kexts.

 

How to do that has already been explained to death in an infinite number of posts..

 

But you're probably better off asking in the NVDarwin thread.

 

Or consider the alternative - EFI gfx strings. They don't work for me though. You might have more luck.
