Hey, I'm having trouble installing Kalyway 10.5.2 for the first time on an XPS 410 from 2006. I'm trying to set it up in a multi-boot setup. Basically, the installer boots up just fine, but Disk Utility can't format the partition into HFS+, it just keeps unmounting it and refusing to remount it. If I don't use Disk Utility and just go ahead to where it lets me select a partition, it lets me select the partition for formatting and continues to the final install screen but stops immediately as soon as it tries to start writing files. I've tried to find a solution on my own, but no luck. Any suggestions?

Specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13 Ghz

2 GB RAM

250 GB SATA HDD

Nvidia GeForce 7300LE

Intel P965 Express Chipset

Sorry to double-post, but I wanted to update progress. Neither Terminal nor Disk Utility will format the partition to HFS+ or anything other than FAT32. When I try to format it to HFS+, Terminal says "Cannot be mounted as named" and then I have to reformat the partition to FAT32. The installer will start installing it to the partition if it's FAT32, but it stops quickly, saying it can't write some file, although it does write a few files to the hard drive.
