Cebit
My GA-EP35-DS3P system can shutdown but cannot reboot as well. I've already restored my previous AppleSMBIOS.kext Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141663-1056-cpu-and-reboot/#findComment-1019830 Share on other sites
chasingcharlie
I can install vanilla kernel and system but I can't reboot either. Would using another kernel solve that problem? I have no problems using boot 123 but can't get extensions to load from EFI -- but that's a separate problem. thanks charlie Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141663-1056-cpu-and-reboot/#findComment-1019852 Share on other sites

nitrox
That kext appears to have solved the problem for me. I'm using PC EFI v9 if that information is useful. delite
That kext appears to have solved the problem for me. I'm using PC EFI v9 if that information is useful. How did you install the kext? With kext helper or you just dragged it into /Extensions/? Did you have to chown it? I would really appreciate more info. Thanks!
