Dorgan
Hi, i'm new to the forum, so first i'd like to say thanks to all of you folks out there making this possible...you're the best!! Now straight to the point: After reading and reading discussions in this forum i thought "hey maybe i could make a hackintosh out of my laptop!" and say what? it actually worked, and pretty flawless without major problems...everything just out of the box...only a few fixes i'm going to do in the next days and it'll be perfect... My config for my iDeneb 1.3 Osx 10.5.5 is in my signature. Share your experience and if you have a question i hope to be of help. maybe i'll do an install tutorial in the next days... kosibar
I'm considering installing OS X on my V5000. What were the things that needed fixing? Did you finally get it all straight? Anything you have to share would be greatly appreciated. Dorgan
Hi, my laptot is version v5232ea, mobo unknown, intel dual core t2050, 2gb ram ddr2 667, chipset intel ich7, jmicronATA controller, video integrated GMA945, wifi 3945 a/b/g, ethernet Intel PRO 10/100, audio Azalia. I'm sorry if i didn't reply faster but i noticed just now that i didn't have email notification acvitve for reply. First of all please post your setup, or better make it your signature with it. It will make things easier. Anyway installation went fine, just i couldn't make it sleep though and i couldn't find out how to make the card reader works. I installed only the fixes for the USB ports (without it they didn't work), Chipset (ICH7), Video integrated (GMA950), Ethernet (Intel Pro 10/100), Audio (Azalia), vanilla kernel was installed by default, as for SMBIOS. Don't bother for wireless, it won't work. try searching the forum there's an official topic for that card. I couldn't stand the absence for a real fix for sleep, so i switched to build a new machine (see signature), and went back to win for the laptop (i travel a lot for work). Tell me if you need something, i'll try to help the best i can.
