Black Screen?

Okay so basically I got iatkos 5 on my computer and after my computer hasn't been touched for a while it goes to a black screen, like a screen saver. On Windows or anything else you just move the mouse and os x or windows comes back, well when I move the mouse the screen remains black. I look at the power button and its flashing green so its still on but on like a stand by mode. I hit the power button then it goes to solid green and I can hear the computer making its regular noises. But still black screen. I have to turn off the computer and turn it back on in order for os x to show again. How do I fix this problem, or at least stop the screen from going black and so that the screen is always running.

Go into System Pref's, under Power, disable sleep. If it's a laptop, you have to do it for both AC and battery power settings. Sleep hardly ever works right on a Hackintosh.

I have the same problem and it appears without the screensaver being enabled.

 

iPC 10.5.6 vanilla with nvidia go graphics.
