quantum88
Hey Guys!! I was following Maxxuss guide to update the AMD_Enabler 1.0 to 1.0a but I'm having a problem. While I'm in single-user mode I'll run the cpuid script just like he tells me to and end up getting a result back that I had 0 cpuids replaced! Then when I go to open iTunes I get the same blank preferences......sigh Am I doing something wrong? Drunlade
Single user mode is read only. You need to run : mount -uw / then try the command again. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14132-trouble-with-amd_enabler/#findComment-90120 Share on other sites

Sabr
Few people actually bother to read the white text that is displayed upon entering Single User Mode... If they did, questions like this wouldn't be here. It actually says: "If you want to make modifications: /sbin/fsck -y sbin/mount -uw / " Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14132-trouble-with-amd_enabler/#findComment-90349 Share on other sites
quantum88
actually I did....but I had no idea what that was supposed to mean. I'm not in a habit of trying thing that could potentially harm my computer unless I've been told by someone that its safe to try.
