Hi.

I just purchased an Acer One and was totally prepared to install Leopard on it.

However, during the installation I get the error "The installer could not validate the contents of the "Essentials" package.

I looked for a solution and the most common problem for 'Real' macs is that the memory is not compatible. User's simply removed a stick of RAM and all was good. If I could access the RAM I would have already taken some out!

I've tried the install using two separate USB drives - no difference.

My A150 has BIOS 3305 - I thought that this might be the problem (too new) but I see that others with this version were successful in installing it.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and managed to get past it?

Kelly

On a happier note - I recently purchased a 20" iMac from BestBuy - and they are going to allow me to exchange it for the 24"... if all goes well I get it tomorrow.
