Mac RAM compatibility

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a new Mac Pro with these specs:

  • Two 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
  • 2GB (2x1GB)
  • 320GB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s
  • ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB

and I want to know if this RAM is going to be compatible:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820208391

The RAM that ships with mac is 2x1GB whereas this is 1x2GB. Will having 3 slots taken up mess with the computer? I know some mobos on PC require even number of slots to be taken up. Do I need to buy 2 sticks?

Thanks.

Ok I bought the computer and you NEED to buy the RAM in matched pairs or it WILL not work. Just a heads up to anyone with similar questions.
