Luckie1
I have a Dell XPS Gen 2: # 1920x1200 Native LCD Screen (Glossy) # Intel® Pentium® M processor 760 (2MB L2 Cache, 533mhz FSB, 800mhz - 2.00ghz) # 1Gb DDR2 SODIMM Dual Channel RAM # Geforce 6800 Ultra Go 256Mb # 80Gb 7200RPM Hard Drive # Dual Layer 8x DVD Burner # 6 USB 2.0 Ports (8 after Targus USB Hub) # S-Video/VGA out with multiple monitor support # 3 Sets of LED's (Lid/Speakers/Fans) # External 160Gb 7200RPM Hard Drive I installed OSx on the external. I can get OSX 10.4.1 to boot easily. Network works, sound works, keyboard works, graphics drivers don't work. I figured I would have much better luck getting the graphics card to work under 10.4.4 or 10.4.5 (I have the 10.4.4 DVD install with the optional 10.4.5 upgrade). However, when install 10.4.4 or 10.4.5, my keyboard, network, and sound drivers don't work. It also doesn't recognise my CD/DVD drive under 10.4.4 and 10.4.5. I'm open to suggestions. Has anyone got any? lol. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13894-strange-situation/ Share on other sites

Luckie1
Dell custom built the motherboard for the XPS Gen2/M170. I wouldn't worry about the sound card, I have an external one that seems to work. Broadcom 570x Gigabit integrated controller.
