suchahampal
Hello there, I have installed Kalyway 10.5.3. But I have some problems [which I would be most grateful if you could help me.]: - Nvidia Geforce 9600m GS graphics card will only show as VESA 14mb in Darwin and something like 32mb when booted into Mac OS X. - Battery meter will not show [even after installing that battery power management mod.] - Intel Wireless 5100 not working, or ethernet port. - Bluetooth not working after updating to 10.5.3. - Cursor flickers alot. You can find my laptop specs at ebuyer. I have a Samsung R560. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148709/show_...ectype=extended Thanks. EDIT: Have I posted on the wrong section? Sorry. Gujal
1. GeForce 9600M GS - This requires 10.5.5 and on top of it the latest NVInstaller which uses Drivers from the yet to be released 10.5.6. WIthout these, you will never get QE or CI 2. Batterymeter requires stock 10.5.4 or above ACPIPlatform and powerbundle with SuperHai's ACIPBattery.kext 3. Bluetooth - No Idea 4. Intel 5100 Wifi - No support. keep watching iwidarwin project, if they will ever even attempt at supporting this. 5. Cursor flickering - See answer 1 Basically you are using a year old distro on a bleeding edge hardware, unless you use the latest distro such as iDeneb 1.3 which is based on 10.5.5 and update to the latest patched kexts for various hardware your install wont be performing optimally/reliably Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138931-a-hand-full-of-problems/#findComment-983623 Share on other sites

suchahampal
I updated to 10.5.5 today and encountered another problem. Half way through installation of 10.5.5 my laptop lost power, and now it won't start up! Is there anyway to fix this so I go back to 10.5.4 or 10.5.3 from the installation DVD? Thanks again.
