kashi14
Hey, I have iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 installed and I have a problem: I have 1 SATA HD with the system installed, and I have 1 IDE HD and 1 IDE DVD drive that the system doesn't recognize on startup. It can be recognized only if I'm putting the iDeneb DVD and in the Darwin boot menu I write "rd=disks2"-the system partition. I tried to install some kexts, unsuccessfully... Somebody have a solution? Thanks in advance... P.S Sorry for my english.. onii
I don't know the solution but I do have same problem as well. Maybe you can't have two IDE on same ribbon? Right now I'm just using IDE, no DVD. Waiting for SATA drive, then I'll run SATA HDDs and IDEon my DVD. Beltfed
Hello, I had the same problem with my DP35. My solution was to buy a SATA HDD and DVD :wink2: Seriously, look at this post: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...P35DP&st=20 Mac503 wrote: In case anyone else is trying to get the Intel DP35DP board working - I was able to make it work with 10.5.2 - had an existing install of Zephyroth on a PATA drive and was initially unable to get it to boot. I had read about the JMicron JMB361 being used with this board, but after visually inspecting the board, was unable to find the chip - some post mentioned that Marvell made an equivalent and I was able to locate the chip on the MB - it's the 88SE6101. After modifying the AppleVIAATA.kext, I was able to get it to boot from PATA. Currently, onboard NIC + PATA are working. Haven't had a chance to work on sound yet. Posting this in case any one else is looking for a solution and/or wondering whether the board is compatible. --- MacOS 10.5.2 Intel DP35DP Core 2 Duo E6550 @ 2.33GHz TrendNet Gb LAN On-board Gb LAN is functional On-board Firewire is functional On-board PATA is functional [Edit] On-board sound is functional - Used patch for STAC9271D Graphics: nVidia 7900 So I guess the PATA can work... if you know how...
