AdamNJ77
Hello all, I have a very newbie question and I have searched and can't seam to find a direct answer. I am installing 10.5.5 (fresh install) and don't know what Kernel to select. I see there is a ToH_9.2.0_sleep Kernel, and I have had problems with my computer sleeping in previous installations. My question is can you ONLY pick ONE Kernel, or am I allowed to allow the default Kernel of 9.5 to install AND additionally install the 9.2.0 sleep kernel also. Basically I don't know if you are allowed to pick the 2 Kernel's for one installation so that my computer will sleep properly, or if I have to choose the 9.5 Kernel OR the sleep Kernel and can't combine them. I am sorry if this is a stupid question. I have managed to figure pretty much everything else out but would really appreciate any help that could be provided with this. Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138553-stupidnewbie-kernel-question/ Share on other sites
ludacrisvp
You can only pick ONE kernel. If you are using iDeneb v1.3 (10.5.5) it will default to the latest vanilla kernel. Depending on what your hardware is like will tell you if it can be used or not. The closer your hardware is to a real mac the better your chances are of being able to run vanilla. If you have AMD you MUST run a modified kernel.
