i use deadmoo's img and i'm sure that my p4 is non-sse3 support.

after dding, i cant use some of the apps like itunes etc.(it's for sure)

then i fix with the MAXXUS 0.4 patch.

i can't reboot currectly after this. after i force to reboot it by prassing the reset bottom, it has a os x with unclickable desktop icons and missing dock.

if i remove it, it'll be fine as it was(but cant use itunes as it was).

and if i install only the first step, the problems were gone but can't use apps that needs sse3 support. and if i install only the 2nd one, the problem will all came up again.

any ideas?

I too have this problem with unusable desktop icons and no dock. They worked when i first installed it. But now, no. I dont' know what ya'll mean when you say "sudo". Could someone help me out on this one? I'm using the marklar-tiger.dmg file with an sse2 processor. I used the generic patch to get it to recognize the hardware.

anyone able to help?

Nevermind ya'll. I was messing around in the random folders and stumbled on one called Core services. I browsed around in it and found the dock. I double clicked it and all my problems went away... Everything 'cept for the sound not working. But I"m not worried about that. I'm just glad to have os X on my PC. ;)

'sudo' is a unix command. It's like this

sudo cp /usr/xyzfile.zip /etc

Here is the translation of that:

sudo means Super User (su) (root user) DO the following command--> copy /usr/xyzfile.zip to the folder /etc

Get it?

It then asks for a password to make sure that you CAN be the 'Super User' or 'Root User', which is powerful and dangerous. A root user can really F up an OS install quickly. Which is why it is protected by a password. Some software installs require that you 'become' the super user to install...

OS X gives you a funny message from apple enginerds when you type it in for the first time...great quote from Spiderman: With great power comes great responisibility.
