I'll like also to donate to make this thing happen! Guess the donations will make a good incentive to develop something that benefit all Vaio nVidia users. In my case I have a new Vaio VGN-AW11S/B with a nVidia GForce 9600M GT that of course not work at all using the internal display, mo matter what I do.

Please the interested developer can setup a project page at code.google.com and one paypal account for donations (I estimate there is many many vaio owners interested in this)

Thanks

Jose E.

Have people lost interest in the subject or are you working so hard that there is no time to update the tread!? :D

Any Updates?

Even though it has nothing to do with this perticular subject, but project camphor seems also to move forward in a correct direction. So if this project and the camphor project finishes I can run my vaio 100% :D

Keep up the good work guys!

I contacted Krazubu at the http://www.projectosx.com.

And refered to this tread..

From projectosx tread:

Fassl and I have been working on that and the end of the troubles is maybe near, we need testers.

What we need for TV out fix :

- A dump of your video BIOS

- Your physical connectors layout

- What outputs you intend to use concurrently

What we need for VAIO black screen :

- A dump of your video BIOS or main BIOS in case they are merged (most likely)

- Your physical connectors layout

What we need for NVS 140 white screen :

- A dump of your main BIOS

Now..how do we extract the the video bios and get the physical connector layout? :)

The second part must be kinda hard right? I'm guessing the connector layout can be found at any vaio repairshop.. do anyone work in one of does?

I can't even find the main bios to download.

This page is in swedish but you guys can probably understand it since it's a germanian language..

http://support.vaio.sony.se/downloads/prei...cons&m=3075

No bios as you see it the download section..

So, I'm guessing we have to extract it somehow or contact any Sony repair shop somehow..

Am I thinking funny? :s

Hey everyone! Good to see some progress!

Right, i found a tool called ATITool website - http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/

It claims it can

Extract video card BIOS to file for backup purposes.

On another website - nvFlash

http://downloads.guru3d.com/nvFlash-v5.63-...nload-1862.html

Can also save the nVidia Bios

I typed Physical connectors layout on google - unsure what to do.

Edit: For me those didn't work - instead i used GPU-Z 0.3.4 which saves the Video Bios as a .bin file, easy to do and doesn't require any installation or command lines

It also provides lots of information about the video card.

I now have a .bin file, is this a Dump of the Video Bios??? or am i on the wrong track...

Alright, we need someone who can read the bin file.

I got no answer from Krazubu yet.. we need him or somebody else to test it with that bios..

I'll try to check with the european vaio offcial repairshop to get out the physical connectors layout in the weekend.. but don't hope to much.
