This is a common problem with 10.5.x. What you have to do is find IOUSBFamily.kext and IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext from OS X version 10.4.8 and replace the corresponding current kexts (you can use Kext Helper for the process, just backup the kexts, though, just in case).

Should be OK with the next reboot.

My Disks show only occasionally up, is that the same Problem? It's different with different disks though, I have for example a 1TB WD Disk that always shows up, and a 750GB WD disk and a 2,5" Disk which I both need to switch on/off very often until they show up. Funny thing is it's the same on my MBP, but not on Windows...

found this nice little thread that fixed my above mentioned issue using that "search" key up top

You might want to get that drive checked out... that's not normal and can't be good!

That's what I thought too first, but it's 2 different drives (a 3,5" and a 2,5"), and both work instantly every time on Windows... Just not on OSX (and I mean each OSX since the same is on the Macbook Pro). But I will try things from that thread you posted, just to be sure (thanks for searching btw ;))
