Enlarging Partitions using OSX

Hey guys, I am wondering if someone knows how to enlarge my partition that I use for OSX using OSX or a program for Mactels...I cannot get my XP working (I'm in the process of fixing it), and I would like to enlarge the partition to add some more Mac programs and music, but I didn't create a big enough partition when I originally split it in the beginning. I have caught wind that you do it using the disk utility and the installation disk, however it says to change that partition you have to format the partitions, which I do not want to do. I just want to take unused space from the other partition and use in the partition I have for OSX.
