stingray072
I have an up and working leopard install on my dimension 5150, and it doesn't have enough sata ports for me. I want to add another 4 500GB HDDs in raid 5 using either a pci-e x1 or pci sata controller card. Recommendations!?? I can't seem to find one that people say work well for a hackintosh. Don't want to boot from the raid 5-just want the Mac OS to see it. Thanks!! xhala_debru
Hi, I think you might look for Highpoint rocketraid solutions. They have drivers for Osx so they do work under Osx. They "might" even be bootable on a hackintosh. Ex: http://barefeats.com/hard64.html NB: You'll see in the test that you loose sleep function when using such a card. Don't know if it's the case with all cards, but I experience the same problem with my areca 1222 sas controller (bootable) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/134824-raid-5-non-bootable-sata-card/#findComment-956801 Share on other sites
