retroz
Have read and re-read the max site quite a few times. Bit Torrent the 10.4.4 with 10.4.5 update but am unsure how to patch it! I get a lot more screen loading now than with 10.4.3, so what are the differences? I still can't get my audio (on board ) to work and it doesn't see my Maudio Audiophile 2496 PCI card. Wouldn't mind a hand getting dual monitors to work too. Either Nvdia FX5200 or ATI Radio 9800 Pro. Thanks! miliuco
If the torrent is the 10.4.4 > 10.4.5 by Myzar, it's already patched, the only thing you must do is to install from the DVD. I recommend to select during the setup: - base system - language file if necessary - maxxuss ownage patch - 10.4.5 update - AMD enabler only if you have AMD chip After installation you have a 10.4.5 system. You'll have problems with the nVidia or ATI card. The Intel GMA900 (integrated on board) is the graphic card better recognized by Tiger x86. retroz
Interesting yet if I want to use Final Cut Pro this won't cut it as it has to have (GMA900) a quartz something or other in order to use final cut pro! Hmmmmm. Such dillemias! I suppose when the desktops come out (MAC) we will have more anwsers, for now, what is the best board with ONBOARD GMA 900 that also allows another AGP or PCIx graphics card and fast CPU without throwing too much money away? The minis' are just toooo too slow and the G5's are slow and way overpriced in termd of banf for the buck! Yes, I've a mini with 1 GB of RAM and it's a bit slow but very nice. As far as the graphics cards, we are going to see better x86 drivers (for nVidia and ATI) in the future but, for now, Intel GMA900 is the best to edit video.
