I'm hoping someone knows how to solve this issue. I just installed the "tiger-x86.tar.bz2" file ran it and got OS X to work on a Dell Dimension 3000 but, the screen is black and white and very grainy. I can't tell what anything says. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Once this is fixed, I think the rest will be a breeze. Also, the mouse/arrow icon doesn't show up unless I right click on the screen then I can see it.

Thank you ALL!!!

I forgot to mention. The hard drive keeps turning off and on as well.

Thank you.

The black and white grainy has to do with the amount of dedicated video memory in your BIOS. Go into your BIOS and see if there is a setting anywhere to change the graphics memory from 1MB to 8MB and then you should be fine.

Also, the HDD on and off is probably Power Management. Once you get the graphics fixed, I would go into the Syetm Prefs and go to the PowerSection and disable turning off monitor, turning off hard disks, and disable sleeping.
