Tmagus
Hi guy's, Just got a new laptop a dell e6500. Google arround to find out of it was osx86 compatible but didn't seem to find anything. Well guess we just have to try it out. I hope you guy's can help me when i run in to a problem. I have downloaded Mac OSX86 - iATKOS v4i (Leopard 10.2.4 DVD). And is currently installing to see what works out of the box. No problems yet, it's boot's and i can see the HD. Will keep you guy's posted and then make a guid for the future owners of a dell e6500 who wants to run Mac OS86x. Anybody already has a installed version on a dell e6500? Well don't be shy and post your findings. Mini Guide (Just posting out what i have done already) Step 1: Burn the osx86 version to a DVD Step 2: Boot from dvd and formatt your hd, select SATA drivers (Customize) Step 3: Installing Step 4: Getting everything to work... Support Graphic card: nVidia Quadro NVS160M Native Resolution support (1920*1600) with NVInject drivers Support ethernet: Intel 825xx Gigabit Platform LAN Network No drivers available, probably will never work Support Sound Not working yet Support Wifi: Intel Intel® WiFi Link 5100 No drivers available, probably will never work. If Anybody has any ideas to get the wifi or ethernet working, please help me hand...otherwise this dell will go on the list as not suitable for osx86 yet
