Edgar7
Hi, I'm trying to get Kalyway 10.5.2 installed on my PC specs are. Intel E8400 at 3.6Ghz 4GB GSkill DDR2 1066 RAM DFI BloodIron Motherboard Pe35-TR2L Sapphire ATI Radeon 4850 160GB WD HD 640GB WD HD Okay so I have Vista installed on the 160GB HD, and on the other one I just got yesterday I transfered over about 100GB of stuff and the rest is empty. Using Acronis Disk Director I partioned the drive and made a 25GB partition to the 640GB for Mac. I run the disk everything works fine, I reformat the partition to mac extended (journal) it installs perfectly. It then says it has to reboot to finish the installation. Well I currently had my 160GB with Vista as the first boot disk, so I went into BIOS and set the 640GB to boot first instead, but whenever it tries to boot I get a HFS+ Error. I heard this has to do with Vista being on the machine, but since Vista isn't on the 640GB how is this possible, there is a large 500GB partition formatted by Vista, but not vista. Can anyone help me out with this problem? Thanks. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/132931-so-close-to-installation-need-help/ Share on other sites
Satyr
C/P from another thread: 1. Boot off OSX dvd disc in single user mode (press F8 and type -s) 2. At single user prompt fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 ≤- where rdiskX is disk where osx is installed flag 1 update write quit or you could boot leo using dvd and fix it in the same way from terminal Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/132931-so-close-to-installation-need-help/#findComment-942633 Share on other sites
