Im attempting to install ideneb 10.5.5 on an emachine t2885 intel celeron desktop. downloaded and burned the iso to a disc got it in the machine created partition and did the custom install with what i think to be right specs. it goes all the way threw the check disc but at the end it comes up with a disc read error tells me to restart and try again. the disc is clean and seems to be running good is there anyone else that has had this problem and gotten past it? thx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It probably checks the dvd against the original dvd, which will of course be wrong. i remember checking me dvd once and it said it worked fine so i think it only checks the operating system written on teh disc to the retail... but it doesn't really matter it takes to long and doesn't do anything. skipe the dvd check and just try reinstalling until it works. thats what im doing and ahve had to done in the ppast Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
