imnes
I had to jump through some hoops to get this installed. The installer won't run on this laptop because the AppleIntel8254 Ethernet kext causes the system to halt. I had to install from another machine, remove that kext and then copy the drive onto this laptop. Now when I boot I get further but still gets hung - here's the error it stops on now. localhost configd[53]: InterfaceNamer: timed out waiting for IOKit to quiesce localhost configd[53]: InterfaceNamer: no network interfaces, could not update platform UUID (See screenshot http://picasaweb.google.com/nick.smith/MyS...02987750560450) Basic hardware specifications: Intel Core Duo T2500 (2.0 GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2 Cache) Intel 945PM Chipset 15.4" WSXGA+ TFT LCD ATi Mobility Radeon X1600 256 MB GDDR3 (upto 512 MB with Hypermemory) 120 GB 5400rpm SATA HDD 2 GB DDR2-667 (2x 1GB MB sticks with dual channel support) Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG + Bluetooth Intel Pro/1000 Ethernet Some details that may be helpful, this is the output of "prtconf -pv" on solaris: http://opensolaris.org/jive/servlet/JiveSe...prtconf_-pv.txt And here is the output of "lspci -vv" under linux: http://opensolaris.org/jive/servlet/JiveSe...2/lspci_-vv.txt Any suggestions?
