forgot to tell that it's important to disable Hybrid Graphics from bios and Select NVidia not Intel . Then do a clean install with NVdarwin512Mb so that the first boot is with QE/CI enabled....don't know why but if the first boot isn't "right" , what ever you do after that , QE won't work... :(

nice ! that did it for me, qe/ci and resolutions full supported !

just installed that nvenabler and evga gt200 from iatkos v7 dvd over my existing ipc system and after reboot i got qe/ci.

only thing is hdmi, which is not working (vga not tested yet)

but thats not the problem after a half year of testing and trying to get this gfx card working. :)

thanks

For those guys with vaios... (like me) Maybe one possible solution is disallow or cancel the dvi output. In previous installation in a asus eeepc, I had to introduce a clip in the conector to cancel the vga output.

What do you think?

i´ve try´d everything..

I tryed using efi Hex Strings in boot.plist .. nothing happend..

I tryed using the N9000 V2 Drivers with NVDarwin 1.25 install after the driver installation etc. and allways nothing happend.. the System starts .. normaly but no change in my display config.. it´s still extremely slow..

For example when clicking dashboard the gfx is extremely slow..

ok,

i´m using a samsung R710 Darel (google) with a 9600M GT

and i wish , i wish to use it ;)

But what gives me a Headeak is that the system profiler tells me

NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT:

Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT

Type: Display

Bus: PCIe

PCIe Lane Width: x16

VRAM (Total): 512 MB

Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de)

Device ID: 0x0649

Revision ID: 0x00a1

ROM Revision: 3172a

Displays:

Display:

Resolution: 1440 x 900

Depth: 32-bit Color

Core Image: Software

Main Display: Yes

Mirror: Off

Online: Yes

Quartz Extreme: Not Supported

Display Connector:

Status: No display connected

but i remember that i had a leo x86 10.5.2 running on my PC with a GF 7600GT and that card really worked with

OSX and it was much faster than this one .. :)

Thank you for any help =)

heya.

i'm running the 8700m gt here with nvkush (which is basically an overclocked 8600m gt)

how did i do it?

well, first of all i removed all NV* kexts from /System/Library/Extensions,

installed the nvkush nvidia drivers & the nvkush driver

modified the nvkush Info.plist so that my card is recognized as 512mb et voilà

mind that with merely the nvkush nvidia drivers, nvinject 0.2.1 worked fine here, too.

This set of kexts : nvenabler 0.1 by fassl and the gt200 evga kexts made my OSX work faster, I've got also better score in xBench.

Normally I've used only DSDT file that includes graphic injection (QE and CI), but those kexts gived me better scores.

LOL! I got my NVidia 9600M GT 512MB Card on my HP DV5-1134TX to work in 3 seconds.

Okay, you need OSX86Tools.

Run it in Mac OSX.

On the top left hand corner, you should see a "Graphics and Customization" box. Click "Enable/Disable Quartz GL" and enable Quartz GL. It should be defaulted to 'disabled'.

After a restart, open OSX86Tools again. Go down to the bottom and look for a button called "Add EFI strings/Boot Flag"

A new window should pop up. At the top click "GFX Strings". Where it says "choose graphics card" click on it, and scroll down to "Custom GeForce". Follow the prompts. When it reaches the "Choose your display configuration window (NVCap)", select DVI-I/VGA. The smaller window should close. Next, Click the Green arrow with the label "Import strings to Boot Editor".

You now should be back to the main window. There should be a large box down the bottom filled with numbers. To the bottom of that, theres a button "Apply changes to com.apple.Boot.plist" Click that, and restart... It SHOULD work.

Requirements: EFI enabled bootloader like Chameleon. I installed iPC OSX 10.5.6 which auto installed Chameleon.

I also installed the 9xxx series drivers available on this forum, but i dont know if that played a role in making it work.

Could you please send me a link to download your kext, tk31. I can't download from your signature.

Thanks
