Can't connect an external monitor, any solutions/comments?

just like the title says i have 22' lcd monitor i use with my laptop,

I am using the kalyway 10.5.2 disc and when i click on the detect monitor on system preferences screen goes black and never comes back till i shut the computer down with the power button

oh and i am using the ninject drivers for my nvidia

 

what gives any solutions?

You need to find your NVCAP value. I replaced mine on NVinJect and it worked fine and now I am using NVKush with the same value and it also works. you will find in the kext info.plist and edit with plistedit Pro. My value for NVidia 8600M GT 256 MB is 04000000 00000100 02000000 00000007 00000000

 

You can try the one I am using installing with kext helper. Here it is

If it "should be relatively easy" then why haven't you fixed it yourself yet. :D

 

Remember to delete the injector you're using now, before installing the NVKush attached above. Otherwise it won't work.

 

For example if you're using NVInject, delete NVInject.kext - but copy it to somewhere first though so you can put it back in if you need to.
