Veeoh
Hi, I was looking at different CPU-z in Windows and it picks my CPU up as having SSE3. System profiler in mac doesnt. Which is right? If it does have SSE3 then why isnt Mac OSX listing it and am i losing anything by it not using it? Screenshots below of both CPU-z and system profiler... Confused.. geo2002
System profiler shows result of the command: sysctl -n machdep.cpu.features You have kernel that is patched to emulate SSE3 commands. Simple change the mach_kernel. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13094-which-is-right/#findComment-83323 Share on other sites
AndrewH
Venice core? I have the mach_kernel for it, as I had the same problem, I see a increase in perfomance my way by enabling SSE3 maybe it's just what i do, but if you need it lemme know. andrew Okay nevermind, I just went ahead and uploaded it for you! mach_kernel.zip Note: This is for AMD Venice core. Veeoh
Sorted - Thanks andrew. Shows as SSE3 now - no noticable increase in Xbench scores mind you. Just wanted to make sure I wasnt missing out on anything is all!
