blubbster
After installation of iAtkos 4i on a Compaq Presario V2000, the computer is locked in an infinte reboot loop. I have repartitioned my HDD, created a single large partition for mac to install and tried Mac OS Extended and Mac OS Extended Journaling file systems. I tried installing with MBR and with GUID boot loaders, the result is always the same. With -v I get the screen below and with -x -v I get the same screen plus this line: RTL8139::fixEnetFlowControl - Flow Control is disabled I am desperate to get this going. I am getting iDeneb as I write this, but I am afraid it will give the same error. How should I debug this issue further?
blubbster
I am sure I am not the only one who ever had this problem. How about throwing me a bone?
haibane
Are you sure you installed the proper .kexts and proper kernel or even a bootloader?
blubbster
Thanks for your response. No I am not sure of anything anymore, although I tried most of the settings. iAtkos 4i didn't offer that many options. I couldn't select a kernel, at least I wouldn't know how. I partitioned the hard drive (I tried MBR and GRUB) and I also tried Mac OS Extended file system and Mac OS Extended (Journaling). Those are pretty much the only options I see. I have iAtkos 4i which is supposed to be for Intel only I think. Are there some options I didn't see?
blubbster
Allright then. I did some more reading: http://uphuck.ggrn.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2322 I installed the EFI bootloader again (since I have installed the OS on an MBR type partition), but that still gives me the same results. Going to try the darwin bootloader on the grub type partition now.
