MindlessDrone
I am in the exact same boat as you. I am just looking to get my resolution to 1280x1024! I also am a noob at this stuff.
raziiq
Its 3:17 in the morning and i am still going through the forums to find a good solution to this problem. Can you see your screen or does it scramble??
MindlessDrone
I can see my screen I just cant get it to recognize the 3100 and allow me to change the resolution from anything other then 1024x768. So I guess in the grand scheme of things my problem could be worse but I am a photographer so I would love the higer resolution.

jayman30
I have full screen resolutions and hardware Quartz Extreme and core image working on my Gateway X3100 video hackintosh running Leo4All that's been upgraded to 10.5.5. I just downloaded and installed the Leopard Graphics Update found here and then installed Natit.kext (attached file) with KextHelper then rebooted. Try it out and let me know if you get it fixed. Need help desparetly You should first try booting with a -x flag at the darwin prompt, that will boot you into safe mode if your screen isn't scrambled, you can then try the method I outlined in my first post. To manually delete all X3100 kexts and driver bundles, boot with -s flag at the Darwin prompt and, after you get to a command prompt, type: (hit return after each command) sudo bash cd /System/Library/Extensions rm -rf AppleIntelGMAX3100.kext rm -rf AppleIntelGMAX3100FB.kext rm -rf AppleIntelGMAX3100FB.kext rm -rf AppleIntelGMAX3100GA.plugin rm -rf AppleIntelGMAX3100GLDriver.bundle rm -rf AppleIntelGMAX3100VADriver.bundle rm -rf AppleIntelIntegratedFrameBuffer.kext rm -rf Natit.kext reboot Note: Not all these files may be present in your particular installation. But removing the files that are present should allow you to boot to the desktop in standard 1024x768 mode with no resolutions options or QE/CI It would probably be easier for you to just reinstall OSX and not select the GMA and X3100 graphic options so you can at least get to the desktop in 1024x768 mode then try the method I posted about earlier. Still a Newbie to Mac OS World but working hard to get over it I don't believe anyone has had any luck getting the Atheros chipset wifi to work at all. If your wifi isn't integrated into your motherboard, your best bet would be to replace it with Broadcom Chip based wifi mini-card like the Dell Trumobile Card I'm using-- You can find one on Ebay for $10-$20--Or to purchase a compatible USB WiFi Dongle at Best Buy for use with OSX--just look for the Mac Logo on the box.
