Leo reinstall

hello! i screwed my leo installation with 10.5.5 update. i have 1 hdd with two partitions - 1 for system and 1 for /users. how to reinstall osx without loosing data? can i use disk utility to erase partition 1 (system partition) and then reinstall leo? wouldn't it mess with my whole disk (guid+efi)? thanx

i run this command: while sleep 1; do rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext; done but suddenly cpumanagement was not turned off ;) i updated my system and screen about restarting comes up... then i tried to edit nano /System/InstallAtStartup/scripts/1 but nothing helps...

Hey,

 

Boot into single user mode "-s" ; mount the drive (the 2 commands you get when you can type); and type in this

 

rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext

 

If you get a "Don't Steal Mac OS X" error after that boot into the disc; open the terminal and type this in

 

nano /Volumes/YourMacOSXDrive/System/InstallAtStartup/scripts/1
