Hawk Pidgeon
After updating to 10.5.5, my ethernet stopped working properly. I've tried reinstalling forcedeth.kext, but all it does now is semi-freezes my computer. I don't get any kernel panic screens or anything; everything just stops working right. Programs won't start up, and programs that are already running freeze. Oddly though, the dock keeps working and so does Finder (for a while). Has anyone experienced something like this before? fragreaver
Same problem here. It just seems like the nforce chipset uses some generic osx-kernel. You can get rid of the freezes by removing the forcedeth*.kext in /System/Library/Extensions... Damn, I need to get that to work, too...any ideas? Guest cavallo
no nforce lan working on my amd system, but i have to let it abled in bios to get final cut, compressor, color, toast and popcorn (enabling rosetta) working. I think this is the bad and worst chipset platform ever produced on any os:
