Whacko
Hi, I'm looking to build a Mac Pro equivalent hackintosh with two quadcore cpu's. I want it to be as close to Apple hardware as possible, so I'm using the HCL's as reference. However I cant seem to find very much info about dual cpu mainboards. Does anyone have experience with this? Or should I buy an original Mac Pro logicboard instead. Or just go for single cpu with quadcore? Thanks. vladthebad
original mac pro had intel 5000X chipset... current mac pro has 5400 chipset. Current xserve has 5400 chipset, LSI 1068e SAS controller. Tyan, Supermicro and a few other companies make some nice boards..... go take a glance at the 8 core thread. Foxcon built the mac pro's board... haven't seen any other foxcon built 5000x or 5400 chipset boards
