Chaz_UK
Hi all. I currently have my home network set up like so: eMac <-ethernet-> iMac <-Wireless-> Router (Internet) <-Wireless-> Inspiron Hackintosh. I was wondering if it would be possible for my Hackintosh to see the eMac running tiger for screen sharing? I currently have to screen share on the iMac then from the iMac screen share to the eMac but I would like to have direct access to the eMac. Any ideas on how to do this? eMac is runnig tifer 10.4.11 iMac and Hackintosh are running Leopard 10.5.5. Thanks!
adrock42
did you try it? you wouldnt be able to use the "Screen sharing" core service on the eMac -> hack because it's not there. You'll need a client like Chicken of the VNC or Jolly Fast VNC. good news tho, the are free!!! To get from the Hack to the eMac you'd have to set up a VNC server, which might be slightly more tricky. Chaz_UK
Hi adrock42. Thanks for the reply. I guess it'll be easier to just keep logging into the iMac then into the eMac from there in the long run by what you've said! I'll look into the other VNC clients and give them a go before I decide to give up tho.
