logart
Hey all, I am new to this mac stuff so bear with me. I am receiving the following error message after I booted my iDeneb 10.5.4 DVD, ran Time Machine-Restore and then rebooted: boot0: GPT boot0: HFS+ boot0: HFS+ boot0: error I had initially tried to run the Mac OS Updater today and it would not boot afterwards, so I figured I would just use Time Machine to restore my system. So much for that idea. Is there anything I need to do on my PC/Mac when using Time Machine? I saw another post here about using a flash disk or something, but I was not sure if that is going to fix my issue. Is it? steffx
Hi, finally i found the solution: 1. put in your install-dvd 2. boot with option "rd=disk0s2 -v" (if disk0s2 ist your idneb installation) 3. open terminal and type : curl -O http://www.zef.hu/mac/chameleon/1.0.12/boot1h sudo dd if=path/to/fixed/boot1h of=/dev/rdisk0s2 bs=512 count=2 4. reboot and enjoy steffx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/126441-ideneb-1054-and-time-machine-restore/#findComment-938175 Share on other sites
steffx
hmm .. the described solution works great here when i restore from an old image here. When i restore from TM and boot from dvd with dr=disk02s it starts booting and then after some seconds the computer switch off. Last message "CPU halted". Guess this has something to do with the xnu-dev beta2 kernel i have installt as default in the TM-Backup .... steffx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/126441-ideneb-1054-and-time-machine-restore/#findComment-938605 Share on other sites
