On my Dell Inspiron E1705/9400 laptop with a Core 2 Duo T7400, 2GB RAM, Dell 1340 Wireless, and ATI X1400 Mobility video I'm digging through the options to figure out what to set. There appears to be some duplicates in the list and I am not sure if that is significant or not? Can someone share their list of options chosen? Should I be using the Kalyway distro instead?

My first attempt was:

  • Kernel Packages: Intel SSE2 SSE3 9.2.0 Sleep
  • Chipsets Drivers: Intel-ICHx
  • Video Card Drivers: Radeon X1400 Mobility
  • Network Drivers: Broadcom driver
  • Plugins: ACPIPS2Nub, AppleACPIPowerSource, AppleBCM440XEthernet
  • Device Identification: Broadcom Wireless Adapter, Generic SATA Drive Icon Fix, Intel ICH7 to ICH9 AHCI Controller
  • SMBIOS: SMBIOS-667
  • Cleanup

Second attempt:

  • Kernel Packages: Intel SSE2 SSE3 9.2.0 Sleep
  • Chipsets Drivers: Intel-ICHx
  • Video Card Drivers: Radeon X1400 Mobility
  • Network Drivers: (none)
  • Plugins: ACPIPS2Nub, AppleACPIPowerSource, AppleBCM440XEthernet
  • Device Identification: (none)
  • SMBIOS: (none)
  • Cleanup

Thanks!
