WinMacLin
Hello, Please help me build a as perfect as possible Hackintosh. I will post the parts in one by one so you could easily guide me about which part is the best and thereafter I would post the other parts step by step in this thread. Ultimately I hope I will get the list of parts in my hand which I would buy and build a Hackintosh in which I could install Leopard with as least trouble as possible. I will begin with motherboard. Please note that I live in an Asian country which is not so developed so I have a limited range of parts within my access. I hope you will guide me. Below is the list of motherboards available in my country: MOTHERBOARDS ------------------ INTEL ------ DG31GL (775PINS - SND+AGP+LAN - 1333MHZ FSB) DG31PR (775PINS - SND+AGP+GIGA LAN - 1333MHZ FSB) PCX SLOT D945GCLF + ATOM 230 PROCESSOR (1.6Ghz + Snd+Agp+Lan-533Bus-DDRII Support) DG35EC (775PINS - SND+AGP+GIGA LAN - 1333MHZ FSB) PCX SLOT DG33FB (775PINS - SND+AGP+GIGA LAN - 1333MHZ FSB) PCX SLOT (BULK) DG33FB (775PINS - SND+AGP+GIGA LAN - 1333MHZ FSB) PCX SLOT (BOX) DP35DP (775PINS - SND+GIGA LAN -1333MHZ FSB) PCX SLOT DQ35JQ (775PINS - SND+AGP+GIGA LAN - 1333MHZ FSB) PCX SLOT ASUS ------ P5PE-VM INTEL 865G (775PINS – SND+AGP+LAN - DDR SUPP.) steadybootleggin
can you get this? GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS4 ? is that do-able in your neck of the woods? get a nvidia 8800 gt with gfx strings and i dont thnk you'll need a single driver......... maybe just restart and time machine fix. i know the D945GCLF will run vanilla and the mobo will sleep/wake but i dont think there is much room for upgrade. Dr. Hurt
My mobo (GA-945GCM-S2L) works great with leopard. The vanilla kernel works with sleep/speedstep. GMA950 works without patches (patch only to change resolution). Network card works out of the box. Sound works (in/out) with prepatched ALC662 kexts.
