hotai Posted September 4, 2008 Share Posted September 4, 2008 Hey there everyone, I have a problem. I tried installing some kexts to get the sleep function on my compaq presario c714 to work. It sleeps but the screen doesn't wake up after I close the lid. I try booting into my OSX partition and I get a panic. I can't boot up into safe mode either. If there aren't any ideas how would I go about reinstalling OSX so that it doesn't disturb my Vista partition. Any input would be very much appreciated! fishersam850 Posted September 5, 2008 Share Posted September 5, 2008 Im not 100% sure what your issue was. But when i was getting Kernel Panics. Its cause because i had a dual Core processor. if you do.. try to boot with "-v cpus=1" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
