shootingfreak101
I know that there are not as many jail broken applications available for firmware versions 2.0.X+ because many haven't been ported. I am wondering if there is any difference in the application collection in cydia vs. installer. Basically I mean are there apps that you can get from installer for firmware version 2.0.x that you can't get on cydia?
kramer2k
Actually, there are a lot of apps that have been 're-written' to work with 2.0. The only apps that I have seen that you can't get on cydia are the RiPDev team apps (since they 'own' installer?). They are mostly pay for apps...so bleh... The other one is winterboard (more improved summerboard). You can only get it on Cydia I think. It conflicts with a commercial product from RiPDev, which is obviously why they won't have it on installer.
