Kieron
I installed Kalyway 10.5.2 - it worked fantasticly, minus a few hickups. Now I tried to update using 10.5.3 Kalyway combo update, and I can't boot back into it. I followed the instructions, and chose the first (vanilla) kernel. Here are my PC specs: Asrock ConRoeXFire-eSATA2 Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 @ 1866 MHz 3 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM Nvida Corp GeForce 7300LE I know there are some problems with the 7xxx series Nvidia videocards, and I tried -v and -x. I've also tried going into -s, but it does exactly the same thing - loads, then restarts. I tried doing -v to watch where it went wrong, but it's going too fast to see. Someone please help me get this working again! Kier

Kieron
Thanks alot, I'm sure I tried it the first time (i remember it not working) but it worked this time. Now only to get photo booth working. Cheers!
Kieron
But now I have to type in update every time I boot. Is there a fix?
Gujal
Once you have booted with "update -v" install a compatible kernel such as modbin patched kernel using osx86tools. This assuming you are having trouble with Vanilla Kernel. The combo update would have come with both kernels
Kieron
Ok, did that, I don't have to do update -v anymore. But it's taking ages to boot and shutdown, the spinny thing spins for my longer than it did before... Could it be that I have a 7xxx series video card, I heard there are usually problems with that and the vanilla kernel.
