Cortrall
Hi All Start of by saying great work to all OSX86 developers and everyone who supports this project. The issue I am having is with iATKOS v4a, which is the first 10.5 release i have been able to boot on my AMD Sempron System. Previously i had JaS 10.4.8 installed, but networking and USB did not work. The issue with the current install, is that whilst the install goes fine, I cannot boot the resulting install. I get the Darwin bootloader prompt, with the options (hd0,1) (hd0,2) MacOSX <-- Default and my OSX install Selecting the first fails (the drive only has one GUID partition), and the second causes the kernel boot to start, then a message flashes up and immediately reboots. I have tried various boot flags (-cpus=1, -v, -f, -s, -x) with no luck. Unfortuantely i havent been able to catch the message as its to fast, and i dont have a camera handy . I can however make out EFI in that message. I have tried installing with various kernel/patch/bootloader variations, with no luck. Is there anyway to flag the boot to stop auto-reboot so i can see that message, or is there a debug string so i can see whats failing. Also is there a way of reinstalling Chameleon or such from the iATKOS DVD boot in single user mode? Any suggestions on this, or any requests for more info, and i will reply ASAP. Thanks in advance. Cortrall
Right. Never mind. Turned out to be the bootloader didnt like my drive config. Had to re-lay the drives with the destination drive as Primary Master, not Primary Slave.
