tomathyg
Hi all, my problem is reasonably simple to explain and may only require a simple kext edit to solve: My computer consists (mainly) of an ASUS P5W64 WS Pro motherboard, a core 2 duo processor, 2 gig of ram and an XFX NVIDIA 7600GS graphics card. I have succesfully installed the Kalyway Leopard 10.5.2 version of osx86 (vanilla kernel & Apple SMBIOS 800 patch) which works pretty much perfectly - except no qe or ci (graphics hardware acceleration) or onboard sound. PCI-E lan works with a simple kext edit. After many hours of trying absolutely everything, I managed to get qe and ci by switching iopcifamily.kext (version 2.1) to an older version (1.6). Unfortunately this has stopped firewire and pci-e lan working. In system profiler it says 'Unable to list firewire devices', and the pci-e lan connection is still visible, it just doesn't work. Can anyone help? Many thanks Tom Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/121956-iopcifamilykext/ Share on other sites
