10.5.2 Install - problem reading my disc, try cleaning ....

Hi all.... bit new to this but I`ve read and downloaded guides etc...

I can get to the disk utility part of the boot.. setup the partition as per my guide... and when I actually click go to install... it sits there for about 10 secs and then reports ` There is a problem reading your disc, try cleaning it and trying again` of which I have to restart and try again...

Could this be a bad burn ? or a `gotcha` that some bright spark is gonna say " ah I know this.. you need to do blah blah" :gun:

sigh........

thanks in advance

Sounds like you need to try a reburn. For some reason everyone else always suggests setting your burner to the lowest possible setting so there is less chance of a missburn. (I have yet to run into a missburn problem though, but this is what everyone else says.) Try that and tell us what happens!

I also have the same problem. Tried JaS and iDeneb both with that error. Burned on slowest speed. The file md5 of the iso's are the same. Burned on Windows with InfraRecorder and LitoOn with DVD+Rs. Also on my hp dv6875se Power2Go Recorder, the laptop I am trying the install on. Will try to burn it on my MacBook Pro to see if that helps. But any suggestions would be great.

Also, on the JaS, if I skip the DVD varifications it stos on MigrationAssistant saying that package cannot be found or is corrupted. Thanks again for your help.
