havelln Posted August 11, 2008 Share Posted August 11, 2008 ive been trying to sort this out for a couple of weeks now when ever i start anything with sound the sound crackles for a couple of seconds then plays fine has any one else had this problem my motherboard is gigabyte 945GCM-S2L 2 gig of ram ddr2 667 msi nx8800gt intel core 2 duo 2.53 @ 3.17ghz sata hdd everything working perfectly apart from the cracking audio install kalyway 10.5.2 then kalyway 10.5.3 upadate combo then apple update to 10.5.4 nvinstaller v 52 im using the rear output have not tried front audio as no conector for it any help would be great if it cant be fixed does any one now a good audio replacment thanks havelln Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120468-audio-crackin-problem-alc662/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

Many people report (including me) that if you use the kernel patcher (10.5.3 from kalyway) the sound will work perfectly again.
