FireTime
I could use some assistance with my track pad and keyboard. I installed OSX Kalyway 10.5.2 onto my Everex StepNote XT5000T. During install I have to use an external USB mouse and keyboard (which is fine). The setup completes and I reboot the laptop. Once I am in OSX both my keyboard and track pad work fine. Also I can use USB mice and keyboards. After reboot my track pad and keyboard stop working and USB mice and keyboards also stop working. I have attempted booting with -f and I have attempted the Repair permissions fix posted in this thread. I have also attempted to install other kexts including the hacked PS2 and the ALPS ones but I get the same result. ANY help would be greatly appreciated! as I am becoming tired of installing OSX for the 14th time. --Also here is information about the laptop-- Pointing Device: 2 button Glide pad (ALPS) Keyboard: 104-Key US Keyboard, Dedicated Numeric Keypad + Hot Keys Functions Processor: AMD Turion 64 x2 mobile TL-50 Chipset: NVIDIA® C51D (Northbridge), NVIDIA® MCP51 (Southbridge) Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 7600 with 256MB DDR2 Audio: Realtek ALC885 High-Definition Audio LAN: NVIDIA® nFORCE® Wireless LAN: Built-in Atheros AR5005G Hard Disk Drive: 100GB SATA-150, 5400RPM, Fujitsu Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120422-track-pad-and-keyboard-laptop/ Share on other sites
FireTime
Make sure you turn off USB legacy support in BIOS. After disabling this everything works now. USB, track pad, and keyboard are all working flawlessly. Thank you everyone in the chat, 86OSX project, Kallaway, and Zephyroth for getting OSX working 100% on my laptop!
