jephyb
Hey all, I tried upgrading from 10.5.1 to 10.5.4 using steps Netkas has outlined. When I saw the AppleIntelPowerManagement.kext (or whatever it's proper name is) show up, I deleted it and emptied the trash. A kernel panic immediately happened when I did that. Now whenever I boot, my screen sits at the grey screen with the little pinwheel and hangs. I tried reverting to a backuped copy of my Extensions folder as well as what I thought to be a backuped copy of my mach_kernal. No luck. The error I get in -v mode when the system hangs is something relating to FireWire and it not being secure, defaulting to version 6.0 (I can clairify this if needed). So I am now unable to boot my OS. Any ideas, or direction? :-\ jephyb Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/118655-upgrading-to-1054-system-crash/ Share on other sites
